Granito:How to Nail a Dictator is a powerful documentary about the Genocide in Guatemala in the 1980′s and the use of filmmaking in documenting the tragedy. Using outtakes from her previous documentary When The Mountains Tremble, Director Pamela Yates documents her role as a filmmaker in the Guatemalan Genocide case investigated by the Spanish courts. This is a remarkable documentary about how filmmaking can be a tool in human rights activism.

The film is also a love letter to the current generation of Guatemalans who are continuing the struggle towards justice and truth in Guatemala.
